Guernsey issues CRS and FATCA reporting deadline

On 24 May 2019, the States of Guernsey Revenue Service released Bulletin 2019/2 on the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (“FATCA”) and the Common Reporting Standard (“CRS”) (Link).

In accordance with The Income Tax (Approved International Agreements) (Implementation)

(Common Reporting Standard) Regulations, 2015, the Director requires all RGFIs to report under the CRS, in respect of the calendar year 2018 on or before 30 June 2019. Please note that, as 30 June 2019 falls on a weekend this year, the deadline for submitting information for CRS & FATCA reporting to the Director is the next working day, i.e. Monday 1 July 2019.
