EU Taxonomy Reporting 2026: A market in transition

Our fourth EU Taxonomy reporting analysis shows that alignment figures are rising, although much of the increase reflects methodological refinements rather than significant changes in capital allocation.

At the same time, early strategic use cases are emerging, pointing to the Taxonomy’s gradual integration into steering decisions. Data quality is improving and automation is advancing. For the Taxonomy to succeed as a steering tool, clear political direction, targeted incentives and stronger demand from market stakeholders will be essential.
