Under CRR 3, the European Banking Authority (EBA) was mandated to draft Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) related to off-balance sheet items under the standardised approach for credit risk (SA-CR).
EBA launched consultations on RTS and Guidelines on third-country branches under the Capital Requirements Directive (CRD) concerning booking arrangements, capital endowment and supervisory colleges.
The new disclosure requirements include detailed mappings to reporting requirements for the output floor, credit risk, market risk, CVA, operational Risk, and newly added crypto assets.
After extensive negotiations and final approval by both the Parliament and the Council of the European Union, the CRR3 and CRD6 proposals have been published in the Official Journal on June 19th, 2024, and will enter into force 20 days later.
